Pendeza Uganda desperately needs funds to support impoverished and highly vulnerable children and families in our areas of operation. We take great pride in our efficient approach, ensuring that every penny you donate goes directly towards helping those who need it most.

We have three different models of sponsorship for you to choose from based on what suits you best. Your support can make a significant difference in the world, and we appreciate your generosity.
1. Child Sponsorship: Our Child Sponsorship program costs a minimum of $40 monthly. This program goes beyond just supporting the child; it extends to their family and community to help them become self-sufficient and maintain their dignity. We carefully select families committed to their child's education, provide a safe living environment, and cooperate with our community-based facilitators and education staff. The children do not receive funds directly from the sponsors, as Pendeza manages all funds. The money goes directly to their needs, such as school fees, educational materials, and other home needs. If a sponsor cannot continue, they are free to discontinue. Still, we encourage them to give us at least one month's written communication.
2. Family support fund: This program uses an estimated 80% of the family support fund to address the specific needs of families in dire need. We believe impoverished families still have God-given talents and skills and can provide for their children. Their major challenge is a lack of funds to invest in businesses, create additional income, or pay school fees for their children.
At $132, you can provide the needed start-up capital for the poor women & youth in the urban slums and rural areas in Uganda.
Pendeza desires to support 1000-2000 families by helping them start income-generating activities, developing a savings scheme, and improving living conditions in the homes where sponsored children live.
Currently, Pendeza Uganda has a membership of over 1,000 individuals, including families we support either directly or directly through education sponsorship opportunities, micro-loans, life and livelihood skills training, and other spiritual, social, and economic empowerment program activities. Most of these have been badly affected by the lockdown and COVID-19 pandemic.
Our country is in a current crisis on how best to support low-income families and rebuild our economy. Much as we (Pendeza Uganda team) had made progress in stabilizing, boosting businesses, building capacities for our beneficiaries, and setting them on a journey to becoming more self-reliant, the effects of the lock-down and COVID-19 pandemic created a significant setback for us all. We are looking for $132,000 to support 1,000 poor women and youth in Uganda, most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This assistance would come in the form of giving them micro-loans for income-generating projects. We believe this will go a long way in enabling them to have a fresh start on a journey to self-sustainability.
Your donation to this cause will go a long way in providing economic opportunity and help members of the community both directly and indirectly through
1) improved household income,
2) access to start-up capital,
3) creating a sense of belonging and social support system, and 4) stopping the social isolation which is the most significant cause of poverty in Uganda/Africa.
Pendeza manages the fund, which can be accessed by the family following discussions. We manage the fund carefully to ensure that your support leads to self-sustainability rather than dependence. Don't hesitate to contact us if you are ever asked to give money directly to a child or a family.
3. At the community level: Donations at this level will benefit the greatest needs of the wider community, such as child protection ventures, awareness campaigns, parental guidance initiatives, health awareness, community hygiene and sanitation, community Agro-business projects, and construction projects. We aim to sustainably serve impoverished children and their families through family support and community development. The resources will be divided so that 20% will suffice to run the administration costs and operations.
