There was a bond within and with the people working at Pendeza Uganda at the time (I joined). This attracted me to stay,” Edwin said at a Pendeza planning meeting where volunteers and members of the staff prayed, reviewed the past milestones, and planned for future activities.

Edwin Niwaha first encountered Pendeza Uganda A Love For Church Ministry, Computer Programming and Volunteering, Edwin Niwaha Shares!

in 2017 when he was working somewhere else. Back then, he volunteered to do data entry after developing the system used for aggregation of the various information concerning the members of Pendeza Uganda.Stressing as it was, Edwin says, together with other volunteers, they had to do it. It was not a matter of convenience but rather, one of sacrifice.

“There was a bond within and with the people working at Pendeza Uganda at the time (I joined). This attracted me to stay,” Edwin said at a Pendeza planning meeting where volunteers and members of the staff prayed, reviewed the past milestones, and planned for future activities.

“I liked the people who were working under the ministry. I fear God and love Him. What attracted me, was also the fact that they (Pendeza Uganda) are under the supervision of the church (Deliverance Church Makerere Hill). I personally grew up in the church and I love it when people are working under the supervision of the church – because from there, I learn a lot of things.”

Edwin who volunteers as a programmer at Pendeza Uganda says, even when he is not in office, he finds himself doing some work for Pendeza Uganda because of the love and passion he has for his work and for the organisation. Speaking further on this, he stated that it is not uncommon for him to stay awake late in the night to do programming (especially coding).”

“I like the work I am doing because, I know long time ago someone sacrificed for me to be doing the work I do. I like the way I am living and my work,” Edwin concluded, noting that he has faith and hope that God will continue to raise him up, bless him and continue to use him.

Pendeza Uganda is honored to be filled with people who give their lives, talents and time to further the work God has called us to do.
